This course examines advanced psychological theories and applied behavior change strategies within exercise and human performance environments. Students explore the Transtheoretical Model of Change, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Social Cognitive Theory, commitment strategies, and experiential sampling methodologies. Emphasis is placed on assessing readiness for change, tailoring stage-matched interventions, fostering intrinsic motivation, and designing structured transformation frameworks. Students develop competency in integrating evidence-based psychological principles into coaching practice while recognizing professional scope and referral boundaries.
