This course examines the scientific principles and applied methodologies of performance enhancement for athletic populations. Students explore neuromuscular physiology, biomechanics, bioenergetics, performance assessment, resistance training systems, power development, and periodization models. Emphasis is placed on sport-specific program design, seasonal training adaptation, recovery strategies, injury prevention, performance nutrition, supplementation science, and sport psychology principles. Students develop competency in designing, implementing, and modifying structured conditioning programs aligned with athlete development and competitive demands.
